Abstract

The author defined that an international educational organization is an amalgamation of an intergovernmental or non-governmental format for conducting activities in the education sector. Contributions of such international organizations as the UN, UNESCO, OECD and the Council of Europe into the education sector are characterized. These are the Millennium Declaration (2000) and the Millennium Development Goals 2000-2015; Education for All (2000); International Standard Classification of Education; Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment, Teaching, Assessment (2001); PISA.
