Abstract
At the proceedings showed the specifics of the scientific approach to the psychological phenomenon “self-improvement”. It is being considered as the universal providing activities, what doing possible realization of all types, kinds, forms of individual human activity and characterized by a purposeful self-transformation of one's own personality (for example, to expand competencies what has been formed, skills and abilities or acquisition of new competencies).
