Abstract

The article is devoted to revealing the peculiarities of displaying in the information-search systems of educational libraries of documents of a personal nature by means of UDC, taking into account information requests of users and their satisfaction. The features of UDC systematization of documents of a personal nature for their multidimensional presentation in information and search systems of educational libraries are highlighted. It has been determined that a holistic study of the development of elements of the modern library reference and search apparatus has not been carried out to date, and the display of staff remains one of the most difficult problems in library science. Based on the application of theoretical (analysis, synthesis, abstraction, generalization, analogy, extrapolation) and empirical (observation, questioning, study of products of the investigated, study and generalization of experience, experiment) research methods it is found that the increase in demand for personal information products the content is caused by the expansion of international cooperation, which provides connections and contacts at the personal level, the growth of personal potential of science and culture, a steady interest in people us as an object of scientific analysis. Particular attention was paid to the evaluation of the heritage of well-known figures who laid the foundations of national and world science, education and culture and became the driving force for the process of formation and development of society. A detailed description of the content of the concept of "personal" is given. The need for a methodological solution to the issue of choosing the primary location of a document on persons known in many fields of science and public practice is emphasized. The need for repeated reflection of some materials about them is substantiated. It is concluded that the UDC toolkit provides the fullest possible disclosure of the contents of personal documents and ensure their search according to the requests of library users.
