Abstract

The theses present test technologies for assessment the geographical competence of pupils, which are contained in the valid geography textbooks for grade 6 (2014). It has been discovered that the valid geography textbooks for grade 6 contain from 20% to 25% of open test tasks at the level of "application". The practice-oriented content of these tasks makes the studying of the subject more interesting for pupils and shows them that the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired by them in geography lessons can be used for practical purposes, including in everyday life.
