Abstract

The article discusses psychological and pedagogical conditions for protecting teenagers from destructive effect of the media environment. The paper demonstrates the significance of self-trust as an indicator of subjectivity. It is stated that the phenomenon of trust in teenage years is determined by the amount of trust teenagers get from the people close to them. The article discusses the importance of dialogue as a means to protect adolescents from destructive media influence and cyber bullying in particular. The article posits that it is necessary to enlighten parents and educators in order to secure a safe environment for the younger generation.
