Abstract

The essence of the concept of "information and research competence" is considered. The steps of designing information and research competence of students at the stage of updating the content of education are highlighted. On the basis of the analysis of the state of the use of ICT tools in the training, funds have been allocated that contribute to the formation of information and research competence: virtual learning environments, means for monitoring and self-control of educational achievements, means of planning educational activities, means of web conferences, training support systems, simulators and electronic workshops, electronic libraries, cloud-oriented means of supporting joint research and development activities.
