Abstract
The author of the article focuses on the fact that economic education in modern educational institutions requires the teacher to choose the best methods for forming theoretical knowledge the students of the lyceum will gain economic competence, which includes the entrepreneurship that is on the list of key competences of the New Ukrainian school, because the underlying purpose of the New Ukrainian School is to support the current generation of students in their quest to become knowledgeable people through a system of substantive and key competencies, which will be given to young people of people to navigate in today's society, consciously take appropriate social and citizenship, improve spiritual culture, communication culture and practice, to form socially mature, hardworking, creative personality.
