Abstract

In the catalog-guide "Collection" Ukrainian Children's Book of 1885-1923. "Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine" provides bibliographic and factual information on an array of Ukrainian editions for children of this period. The history of publications of some editions of well-known and little-known authors is highlighted, names of many anonyms, in particular painters-illustrators of a children's book, are disclosed, and the content of editions is described. Much of the publications described (about 30) are introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. The book contains a reference auxiliary device. The publication is the first issue of the Bibliophonus of the Pedagogical Museum series and is addressed to researchers of Ukrainian culture, historians, educators, book publishers, bibliographers, museum workers, and anyone interested in the history of the Ukrainian children's book.
