Abstract
Abstract. The article highlights the pedagogical activity of Panteleimon Kulish as a teacher of the Lutsk regional school of the nobility, Kiev-Pechersk, Kiev-Podolsk schools, a university teacher and a senior teacher at the gymnasium in St. Petersburg. The writer's educational activities are systematized: the creation of the first Ukrainian phonetic spelling, the edition of "Gramatka" (1857) and books for the people called "Rural Library", these translations of the world classics and the Bible in Ukrainian.
