Abstract

The urgency of the modernization of the content of training programs for PhD in Public Administration is grounded. Examples of foreign models of doctoral training programs are given. Attention is focused on the need for graduate students to study methods of conducting research in public administration, the fundamentals of economics, statistics, methods of analysis for public policy, probability theory, methods for testing hypotheses and evaluation and the like.
