Abstract

The author considers the peculiarities of the emotional component of the Ukrainian language learning process at school, analyzes the work of psychologists, linguists, and educators, emphasizing the essence, functions and meaning of emotions; outlines the research boundaries of the emotional problem for different branches of science, emphasizes the importance of forming the emotional intelligence of students, draws attention to the advice of scientists who direct the work of the teacher and promote the search for the right ways to solve problems, offers fragments of work with the text, aimed at strengthening the emotional component of the communicative competence of students.
