Abstract
The article considers resilience as a rehabilitation resource of psychological health and well-being of an individual. It is shown that the resources of resilience help to withstand the devastating consequences of traumatism, to support the necessary motivation for individual’s self-reliance and self-restoration. The purpose of the article is to determine the main resources of resilience that contribute to self-restoration of an individual and preservation of normal life-design in the situation of potential traumatism. It has been found that the respondents describe Euromaydan (2013-1014) as the events with an increased risk of individual traumatization, which worsen individual’s psychological state, ruin the ordinary way of life, cause feelings of horror and helplessness, and frustration. It has been empirically determined that women who encounter difficulties are more inclined to use the coping strategy of reassessment, i. e., they try to focus on the development of their personality. The findings allows the conclusion that one of the self-restoration resources of an individual is higher education. The leading resource of youth’s resilience is determination, as for the more adult people it is optimistic.
