Abstract
The article is devoted to the innovations in the content of the Ukrainian language course for grades 10-11 - the norms of modern literary language. The relevance of observance of linguistic norms as an indicator of high linguistic and general culture is substantiated; outlined and considered the categorical spectrum of the problem of assimilation of norms of literary language, the essence of the basic concepts is revealed. The content of the Ukrainian language course for the senior school on the methodological point is analyzed, attention is focused on the key issues of mastering the norms of the Ukrainian literary language by senior pupils, practical recommendations are given to the linguists and to everyone who aspires to become a good speaker.
