Abstract

The paper is devoted to the processes of searching for new mechanisms of evaluation of quality of teaching and learning processes in the most influential systems of international university rankings. Despite the fact that evaluation of research activities continue to be the dominant in the majority of the ranking systems (for example, in ARWU, QS, THE World University Rankings), the searching for the new forms of evaluation of teaching and learning processes and the relevant indicators observed as a kind of mainstream for further modernization of ranking theory and methodology. This argument is supported by the fact, that in late June, 2018 one of the most influential ranking system THE for the first time published THE Europe Teaching Rankings, which is based on the principle of student-centered learning as a key element of establishing of European area of higher education (EHEA).
