Abstract

In the article some specifics of VET standards development in the UK are considered and disclosed. They are the apprenticeship standards in the country. The article presents a general "architecture" of apprenticeship standards (holistic) developing process. More aspects of financing, revision, submission and approval stages via time frames are detailed. The author emphasizes the importance of further studying the comprehensive, time-place-and-implementation conditions-worth VET standards development process in the UK in the context of designing the high-quality assessment approaches for defining the VET graduates’ professional competence level and further assessment standards developing for the new VET system in Ukraine – professional (vocational) education.
