Abstract

The article focuses on the peculiarities of study of the Holocaust at the lessons of history in secondary school. There is only one lesson for the study of this topic by the current programs, which does not allow to comprehend the scope of the preconditions, the course and consequences of this tragedy of the whole mankind/ But this topic is aware of both the history of Ukraine and the world history; the documentary data on the Holocaust is very different, and their adaptation to the general educational process can cause difficulties for teachers. The text provides general recommendations and specific examples, so the the study of this topic can be not only factual, but also axiological.
