Abstract

The strategy for the progress of modern pedagogical science is inextricably linked with the preservation of the scientific potential of our country that will contribute to the emergence of different directions in the economic and cultural development of society. In this regard, it becomes necessary to study and identify the potential of Ukrainian scientific and pedagogical schools, the development of a comprehensive system for training of qualified scientific personnel, and the revaluation of values in pedagogy and education system. The article covers various approaches of scholars to the concept of "scientific school". We analyzed the characteristic features, functions, and peculiarities of scientific schools. We defined personal and professional qualities, which should be typical of the founder of the scientific school and which are based on the values of pedagogical mentoring, intellectual leadership, empathy and ethic-aesthetic outlook. Also, we marked the conceptual ideas of the scientific school of pedagogical skill of Academician I.A. Ziaziun, which was based on the values of the personal and professional development of an individual, especially a teacher. One conducted the analysis of the axiological basis for the scientific school of the theory of art education by Professor O.P. Rudnytska, who was the first in the Ukrainian pedagogical science to define theoretical and methodological grounds of art education as an independent branch of professional education. Analyzing the scientific and pedagogical works of Ukrainian scholars, we noticed the continuity of generations, formation of research united around a leading scholar. The activity of scientific schools confirms the implementation of the following priorities in the Ukrainian scientific and educational environment: constant generation of new ideas, development of the tradition of true scientific thinking, maintaining the spirit of partnership, intercultural communication, scientific dialogue, discussion, formation of young researchers' ability to bold initiative and self-criticism, establishment of humanistic principles of science with the aim of creating a new type of a future specialist as a person of culture, of formed national-conscious and tolerant-international outlook.
