Abstract
The methodological recommendations “Specific nature of standardization in the system of vocational education and training in Great Britain” represent the current state-of-arts and conditions for vocational education and training (VET) development in Great Britain, give clear characteristics to classic and innovative approaches to VET standardization, reveal institutional and organizational-methodological features of VET standards developing, outline feasibility of using positive ideas of British experience to design and develop standards of professional (vocational) education (P(V)E) of Ukraine at whole-country and institutional levels and the level of a PVE institution. Methodological recommendations can serve as a substantive basis for researchers, scientific and teaching employees, teachers, students and other interested persons in studying problems of foreign standardization pedagogical experience and practical guidelines for P(V)E standards developers in Ukraine, namely: employers, educators, teacher resource centers methodologists, scientists, teachers of P(V)E institutions and others.
