Abstract
The monograph is devoted to the analysis of theoretical and practical problems of the psychology of creative activity. It reveals the essential aspects of nature, dynamics, structure, mechanisms and functions of creative activity. It explores the content of cognitive and psycho-semantic mechanisms of creativity. It is considered as the unity of its contradictory and simultaneously complementary moments - discourse-logical intelligence and intuition, conscious and unconscious levels of information processing. The study suggests cognitive models that describe the mechanisms and processes of creative thinking. The monograph highlights the following important components of intellectual giftedness, such as the ability to restructure, bisociative thinking, flexibility, productivity, variability of thinking and other. It analyzed the possibilities of development of creative potential and creative thinking of person. The practical methods and techniques of such development at school, family and high schools are developed and offered in the book. The monograph is intended for psychologists-scientists, practical psychologists, university lecturers, teachers, students of higher psychological and pedagogical educational institutions.
