Abstract
The monograph deals with the origins of the modern scientific direction of the integrated study of education in education; the role of education in shaping the values of a democratic society is analyzed; formation and development of education in Ukraine; thesaurus of scientific research of modern education as a holistic social phenomenon; basic definitions of education. The publication is prepared on the basis of research results of the research laboratory of education at the Boris Grinchenko University of Kyiv.
