Abstract
The questions of the application of unification in the process of objecting documents and the peculiarities of the formation of the branch database of the authoritative file "Subject Headings" on issues of education, pedagogy and psychology of the electronic catalog of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine named after them. V. O. Sukhomlynsky. Using an authoritative file will help to unify the creation of bibliographic records in electronic catalogs in order to ensure maximum accuracy, concreteness and clarity in the process of objecting documents, disclosure of their contents, and also increase the possibilities for more effective thematic search in electronic catalogs (databases) as within the same library , and also in conditions of inter-library interaction.
