Abstract
The international experience of the Centres for (professional) excellence is analysed on the example of already existing institutions in Belgium, France, Italy and Germany (in the framework of the Erasmus + project), Bangladesh, Vietnam, Moldova and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The attention is focused on the essence of "excellence" concept, its interpretation and use peculiarities. The number of key issues for understanding those Centres functioning essence is identified. Some features of their structural arrangement and purpose are briefly represented.
