Abstract

The recommendations describe the creation and use of the ORCID identifier for scientific and teaching staff. The use of the ORCID identifier is required for scientific and pedagogical staff to solve the problem: the uniqueness of the identification of the authors of scientific research in the electronic library of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Problems of identification of scientists, internationally, connected with the change of surnames, identical names and surnames, transcription variables and the order of complex names, where there are middle names, common names, initials, etc.; maintaining links with the world scientific and educational community; ensuring international visibility of researchers; academic and social activities between scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers and organizations, scientific institutions; search of authors, candidates for scientific research; obtaining grants, patents, etc. Methodological recommendations were created within the framework of the research work "The Methodology of the Open Electronic Educational and Science Systems Use for the Scientific and Pedagogical Professionals' Informational and Research Competence Development" № 0118U003159 (2018-2020 years). Methodical recommendations are addressed to scientific, scientific and pedagogical workers, graduate students, doctoral students.
