Abstract

The monograph reflects the results of the study "Psychology of professional orientation in the system of pedagogical education", carried out at the Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine by researchers of the Department of Professional orientation and professional development psychology in 2011-2013. In its content the concept of professional orientation in the system of pedagogical education is illuminated, the psychological foundations of the use of innovative means of vocational guidance are revealed. The monograph contains well-systematized psychological, occupational and psychodiagnostic information necessary for conducting successful vocational guidance work. Interesting and, of course, topical areas of research is the definition of the psychological conditions of the organization of vocational guidance space as a factor of self-development of subjects of pedagogical activity, the study of psychological foundations for the development of youth's psychological readiness for vocational training in the pedagogical specialty, as well as the motivational readiness of future teachers for vocational guidance work, the peculiarities of their familiarization with content and mastery of means of conducting vocational guidance, tracking the dynamics of their professional matching during training. In addition, the problems of psychological readiness of teachers of vocational educational institutions in the vocational guidance work were considered, as well as the issues of psychological assistance to pedagogical workers in the situation of unemployment were discussed. Designed for scientists, postgraduates, teachers, as well as psychologists, educators and educators who deal with career guidance.
