Abstract

The article analyses forms and methods of self-representation of users in the Internet environment. Development of information and communication technologies, particularly Internet technology (IT), determines the principles of communicative interaction in a virtual, online environment. The first phase of the Internet (technology for WEB 1.0) lead to recognized principles of communicative interaction, such as anonymity and impersonality, the second (WEB 2.0) – to interactivity and autonomy, the third (WEB 3.0) lead to personalization. It was found that the principles of communication in the Internet environment determine the characteristics of self-constructing and self-representing of the image of "I". The author thus proposes a model of forms and methods of self-presentation in the Internet environment. The results of empirical research revealed that the most popular practitioners of self of today's youth are creating personal pages in social Internet networks, select or create an avatar, allowing you to identify the user in the process of communicative interaction. Typical users of communicative action aimed at presentation of thyself in virtual space, using verbal and non-verbal means, defined as practices of self-representation of personality in the virtual Internet environment.
