Abstract
The article reveals the essence, feasibility and practical method of studying the information needs of users of scientific libraries. Analyzed the information needs of scientists NAPS of Ukraine and their support through a system of selective dissemination of information in the State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine named V. O. Sukhomlynskyi.
