Abstract
The article deals with the introduction of the social system of early aesthetic education and development of children from 1 to 3 years from the mid-nineteenth to thirtieth years of the twentieth century. The factors that influenced the emergenceand transformation of institutions for children in an early period of their life,types of institutions, scope and organization of aesthetic work with kids are distinguished. Results of the first scientific researchon the problem of youngchildren and their development in aesthetic activityare summarized.
