Abstract

The article describes the principles and usage experience of ICT for research in high school, including the modeling of cognitive and perceptual activity under influence of various factors (internal and external). The description of the techniques and psychological tests used in the proposed ICT has been given. It is described an example of student research projects in the field of natural and mathematical sciences on the basis of experimental studies using the developed ICT: identifying the effect of external factors and learning workload on a physiological state and cognitive performance of high school students. During studies of the proposed ICT it was found that subjective, objective psychological (the results of the tests) and physiological parameters (heart rate and range of its oscillation) of subjects (high school students) were similar to the wave nature of the dynamics within a month. Namely, it was revealed that both objective (task performance time) and subjective (mood, readiness-to-perform, fatigue and attention) tests’ results have the character of fluctuations close to the periodical, which requires study of the relationship of these changes on timetable (substantive nature and intensity of loads) and their distribution over the week, as well as slow and over-slow heart rate fluctuations had oscillating nature that could significantly change during the week, and the reaction of cardiac regulation of subjects even in similar conditions were more individual than subjective assessments. It was also revealed that those changes reflected the changes in the solar wind (speed and density), to some extent. Particularly, it was confirmed the regularity: reliability of cognitive tests was growing in terms of small flux density of the solar wind (from 2 to 4 protons/cm3) and its moderate speed (350-400 km/s). Experimental results of student projects received using the proposed ICT enhanced the knowledge of the phenomena under study and was a real toolkit project-based learning in secondary schools.
