Abstract
Dissertation for the Candidate of Psychological Science degree. Specialty 19.00.07. – Pedagogical and age Psychology. – The National pedagogical university named after M. P. Drahomanov, Kyiv, 2016. The dissertation focuses on the research of gifted adolescents’ abilities. The concept of "research skills" and "research abilities of gifted teens" are defined; the criteria (such as cognitive and creative qualities, orientation and cognitive motivation, personal cognitive qualities); indicators: (level of intellectual abilities, flexibility of thought, originality of thinking, speed of thought, inner motivation to research, external positive motivation for research, external negative motivation for research, personal anxiety); levels (low, below average, average, above average, high) and psychological conditions: sensitivity to uncertainty, orientation and cognitive motivation, personal cognitive qualities, developed cognitive qualities, developed creative quality, scientists and scientific supervisors authority, researching experience, the prestige of scientific knowledge. The program of research abilities of gifted adolescents is grounded, worked out and tested. The effectiveness of the program proved positive dynamics of indicators (level of intellectual abilities, flexibility, originality, speed of thinking, motivation) development of adolescents’ research skills. Basing on the results of the research the guide of improvement the level of adolescents’ research abilities was worked out for the teachers and psychologists.
