Abstract

The essence of the concept “research competence” is reasoned in the article. The ways of its formation in high school are analyzed. The content and characteristics of scientific research activities are defined too. Questions of definition of “competence” and “competence” are reviewed. The essence of the concept of research activities as an integral part of teaching and learning activities of students was defined. The attention is also paid on the characteristics of the main components of the research competence (action-practical, motivation-evaluative and cognitive). The example of forming research competence in the study of equations with parameters by the means of information and communication technologies is also reviewed. Thus, the research competence is formed in research activities, which are provided by means of information and communication technologies. Perspectives of further research in our opinion are in the using of information and communication technologies in the study of certain types of equations.
