Abstract
In the manual the phenomenon of university rankings in the context of development of institutional leadership of concrete higher educational institution is observed. The module includes three topics: "National and International University Rankings"; "Contemporary Tendencies for Improvement in the Area of University Rankings"; "Rankings as a Mechanism for Institutional Development of Universities". After passing the module, we expect that student would know the essence and specific features of university rankings; be ready to analyze the indicators of university rankings; use rankings for development of leadership potential of universities.
