Abstract
The author discusses with an article, written by Velichko L. P. "On some pedagogical myths" ("Biology and Chemistry in the home school», №6, 2015) on the possible use of statistical methods in their daily teaching practice and calculation parameters for individual tasks. Pedagogical studies are compared to randomized double-blind clinical trials in medicine. The author gives examples of the theory of educational measurement (Item Response Theory, IRT) and examples of constructing adaptive tests.
