Abstract
“How to become a researcher” is not just a guide. It is rather a guide to action for those planning to make the first step towards a scientific career since their school-days. Special research relevant knowledge and general skills and abilities can become an invaluable instrument of adaptation to the dynamic world of the XXI century and to ensure success and competitiveness of future specialists. The main guide's attention is paid to the ability to observe and work with problems, design their solving, perform a text analysis and discover new information, structurize research materials and results, organize pupils’ own research practices and their preparation for young researchers competitive tests; the ability to present and defend pupils’ ideas, etc. The main objective of the guide is to provide the item-by-item mastering of the creative research activity experience and to mould pupils’ self-motivation and self-development. This guide is for all pupils, actual and future members of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, teachers, leaders of study groups, parents of future pupils.
