Abstract
The article (О.Shcherbakova) is concerned with the main trends in rhetorical education development at higher school in Ukraine through the European vector of analyzing. Among the investigated trends the author exposes those which influence the integration of the national system of education into the global one, and those which are connected with the conceptual principles and the trends in higher education development in modern Ukraine. The carried out work is an integral part of the author’s investigation into increasing the efficiency of teaching rhetorical disciplines at higher educational establishments of Ukraine on the basis of a competence approach. The materials have been prepared within the thematics of the International scientific and practical conference “The Trends in Higher Education Development in Ukraine: The European Vector” (Yalta, 20th-21st March, 2014).
