Abstract
The author of the article presents the important aspects of studying the spiritual potential of value-oriented rhetoric – spiritual eloquence – for forming a modern rhetoric ideal. The researcher comments on the nature and the main objectives of the issue under investigation taking into account the great importance of the traditions of the national classical rhetoric heritage which play a significant role in teaching future philologists, philosophers, journalists, historians, teachers and priests. The scientist shares her personal experience of teaching rhetoric to students at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University and students at St. Volodymyr orthodox theological courses as far as Christian values are concerned.
