Abstract
Self-designing is an intentional self-development basis in the elderly, as well as a mean of the self-development amplification. For the elderly the rejection of the acceleration of mental development is evident, under conditions of limited vital resources. Therefore, we can only speak about the specific amplification of mental development, its enrichment in the old age. The conscious self-designing of personality in old age requires a decision about the direction of such amplification based on the understanding of own involution deficits. All stages of the self-designing require appropriate intellectual software on the level of conceptual thinking, that is, reflected intellectual actions.
