Abstract

On the basis of the analysis of heritage V. Sukhomlinsky presents the theoretical and methodological approaches to the management of general educational institutions. The author highlights the scientific achievements of followers V. Sukhomlinsky, since the 70s of the last century to the present day, characterizes the possible solutions to the problems of modern school management based on the ideas of the outstanding scientist, teacher, draws attention to the different aspects of the management activities of the school director, shows the main stages and especially developed and tested a new technology professional development of secondary school leaders in the system of postgraduate education - scientific and methodological support.
