Abstract

The article is devoted to the actual problem of changing role of the VET teachers and trainers in the conditions of Knowledge Society and Economy formation. ln it the main tendencies of education development influencing the changing role, status and training of VET teachers have been analyzed, namely: the quest for quality and relevance in VET; decentralization of VET governance and the increased autonomy of schools; the paradigmatic change from teaching to learning and taking responsibility for one's own learning; development of teacher team working; implementation of competence-based learning and training; usage of integrative approaches to the curriculum development in VETetc.
