Abstract

The article presents the experience of the public secondary schools of the Borispol district, Kyiv region on national patriotism, the use of heritage museum and excursion pedagogy in the educational process through the prism of the social active school. Тhe term «social-active school» fi rst was appeared in the USA in the early 30- th, last century. This social movement had to pay attention to the behaviour of the school-aged children in their after-school activities. Later, more then 80 states in the whole world have joined it, including Ukraine. Nowdays more and more Ukrainian schools take an active part in this project. The importance of such a movement is to include pupils, teachers, parents in the social processes of the local community. The school must be the active participant in the different aspects of the local life. Socio-active school is a school, which focuses on the establishment of partnerships between the school and all the resources that exist in the community. In active public school much emphasis on educational, social, health services, development of youth movements and citizen participation, improving student learning, strengthening relationships between family and community members. Schools are educational, cultural centers and centers of recreation for people of any age. They are open to everyone - all day, every day, in the evenings and during weekends. Extension services in the school, as required by model-active public school encourages the emergence of innovative educational programs, helping to improve teacher professional form that meets the requirements of modern times. Schools involved in the program, note one fact: when they chose to develop their comprehensive school model of active public school, they are competitive. In the framework of the public school is actively refocusing on the individual student, to form an active civic position of responsibility to themselves and to the community for the decision. As a result of the model-active public school resources are used effectively for the benefi t of all residents of the community. School, becoming a community center, is more real help from the local community, government and commercial entities. This article gives us a very important example to use the historical events not also the state signifi cance but the local once in the teaching process which helps to cause the wish to study well and more active. During last two years dozens trips and journeys were organized around the different districts of the native country. The main aims is to discover the unknown pages in the historical past which were forbidden in the former USSR.
