Abstract

Engineering education in Ukraine we obtain the highest number of entrants to higher education. No exaggeration to say that today it has acquired gigantic proportions. According to UNESCO for 2005-2006. Ukraine ranks fifth in the world in the number of engineering students. But using data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, it can be argued that the majority of universities Ukraine III-IV levels of accreditation prepare specialists in a particular direction engineering. However, it is important not only the number of trained engineers. To ensure the competitiveness of graduates of technical universities in Ukraine at the international level should be given considerable attention to the quality of training young professionals in particular, the development of professional mobility, language, communication competencies and advanced competencies in the field of ICT.
