Abstract

This article analyzes of two modern concepts of teaching and upbringing of hearing impairment on grounds of main foreign research works. It characterizes of peculiarities of methodological approaches like “oral method”, “mainstreaming”, “total communication”, “bilingual education”, and opens of setting aims and tasks to each of these educational system. It expounds of the role of sign language as mother tongue of deaf, and defines of attitudes of representatives of different systems.
