Abstract

The article shows the value of sign language for deaf child's personality development. We compare the features of medical and personality-centered approaches to the phenomenon of deafness. It is opened the significance of sign language as affordable and natural resources, which provides the process of quality communication with the deaf child's through the prism of the individual components: cognitive, emotional, necessity-and-motivational sphere and the process of individuation.
