Abstract
In the article the image I in the context of adaptive processes. The psychological characteristics and functioning of this psyhostruktury in juveniles and their role in the interpretation of adaptation. Highlighted aspects of the mechanisms of development of semantic image I according to the type of adaptive strategies of the individual. Determined ambivalence image I like the prospect of empirical research.
