Abstract

The article describes the circumstances of occurrence in the system of education of Ukraine of the second half of 1950s secondary schools. Based on the analysis of legal-normative documents reviewed the intentions of the leaders of the CPSU to create a new system of public education, in which the leading role was played by boarding schools - the new closed-type teaching and educational institution, where children from birth to 17-18 years of age shall deliberately brought up as the active builders of a Communist society. Found that delivered in July 1956 before the Ukrainian SSR task within less than two months to create 50 of the first boarding schools were met, however, as the whole country, the Republic was not ready at short notice to solve all problems which arose in connection with this initiative of the party in the field of education.
