Abstract

The role of value basis of modernization is researched in the article. The author stresses that its success is significantly dependent on the level of formation, content and hierarchy of basic values. However, the content and structure of the fundamental values should not only indicative of the willingness of society to moder-nization changes, but also contain a clear vision of their goals, ideas about ways and means to achieve it.
