Abstract
The paper presents conceptual approaches to understanding the essence of the phenomenon of pedagogical culture as a component of general culture. The function of pedagogical culture of the manager and the staff of educational institution, peculiarities of their internal and external manifestations and also factors influencing the process of their formation are disclosed in the article. Structural units of pedagogical culture, organizational values, customs, traditions and the cultural memory, which is necessary for the head of educational institution to know and consider including socially important rules are also outlined in the paper. The article emphasizes that the professional behavior of the head is a form of practical implementation and the level of formation of his individual pedagogical culture.
