Abstract

The article is devoted to determining the psychological features of the relationship between resilience and locus of control in participants of the educational process during the war. In particular, the results of an empirical study are presented, which revealed the existence of a direct correlation between resilience and internality; subjective control; internality of achievements and production relations; control over action during planning and during failure. The article also demonstrates the inverse correlation between externalizing and resilience. The article emphasizes that a person's locus of control determines the degree of his or her activity, in particular, his or her ability to show his or her own subjectivity or passivity - a high degree of dependence on other people and external circumstances. A person with an internal locus of control is characterized by responsibility, the ability to make decisions independently, the ability to build interpersonal communication, quickly adapt to difficult life situations, and, most importantly, effectively exercise emotional self-regulation. It has been found that the internal locus of control is accompanied by the manifestation of personality resilience, namely, it gives rise to the ability to overcome difficulties, achieve goals, provides awareness of inner strength and endurance, promotes the development of personal maturity, and promotes the desire to continue to acquire new knowledge, skills and abilities. It helps to regulate negative emotions in a timely manner, gain positive experience, make constructive decisions quickly, and most importantly, it enables you to remain an active and purposeful subject of your own life and development for a long time. It ensures the ability to remain calm under the pressure of failure, to recover quickly from stressful events, and to maintain mental health and overall well-being. The internalization of achievements correlates with resilience and has a positive effect on the acquisition of new academic achievements, namely, it motivates the individual to further develop and acquire knowledge, and provides a desire to learn new skills and abilities, even in difficult life situations of war. Conversely, it has been proven that the feeling of inability to influence the situation, lack of control has negative consequences, as it impedes the manifestation of resilience. This not only hinders the acquisition of knowledge, positive experience, leads to passivity and irresponsibility, makes overall development impossible, but also harms mental health and psychological well-being.
