Abstract

The author reveals the essential content of psychopedagogy in the scientific-philosophical heritage of I. Zyazyun, the ideas of the development of leading competencies of the teacher of the New Ukrainian School, which are reflected in his scientific-philosophical works. Illustrates the historical origins of psychopedagogy in the scientific investigations of a well-known scientist. The work indicates the leading modern trends in the development of psychological theories, which allow a deeper understanding of the leading features of psychological pedagogy and pedagogical psychology, gives the author's definition of psychological pedagogy, and presents the academician's reasoning regarding the image of the teacher, the value of the teaching profession.
