Abstract

According to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), more than 5.5 million children from Ukraine are in need of humanitarian assistance due to the war started by Russia in 2022. The war provoked the movement of people on a scale and speed not seen since World War II. By the end of October 2022, more than 7.7 million refugees from Ukraine were recorded in Europe, and millions more were internally displaced persons in Ukraine. Displacement of children and destruction of schools has resulted in more than 3 million children accessing education online or through a combination of online and face-to-face classes.
