Abstract

At the current stage of development, Ukraine needs the expansion of the historical national and cultural space, the crystallization of national ideals and values. It has been established that an invaluable contribution to the Ukrainian national treasury was made by Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko - a great Ukrainian poet, artist, thinker, known throughout the world as an outstanding humanist. His significant interest in educational issues, he created a system of pedagogical views, which were reflected in poems, journalistic and artistic works. The social, cultural and pedagogical heritage of the scientist took a worthy place in the national treasury of national, cultural and spiritual achievements of the Ukrainian people. Today, understanding the educational and philosophical-educational views of Taras Shevchenko is very important for the Ukrainian pedagogical national school and the pedagogical thought of Ukraine in particular.
